A very rare, complete live performance in Berlin - for the first time ever on CD - reuniting Paul Desmond, Gerry Mulligan and Dave Brubeck.
• It features the classic arrangement of “All the Things You Are” from Desmond and Mulligan’s second album together and a splendid reading of the classic Desmond composition, “Take Five”.
• As an added bonus, there is an extremely rare live performance by Mulligan and Desmond playing together along with Jaki Byard in New Orleans in 1969.
• Personnel : Gerry Mulligan (bar), Paul Desmond (as) on all tracks, with Dave Brubeck, piano; Jack Six, bass; Alan Dawson, drums - Berliner Philarmonie, Berlin, Germany, November 4, 1972. // and on bonus tracks with : Jaki Byard (p), Milt Hinton (b), Alan Dawson (d) - live at the New Orleans Jazz Festival, New Orleans, Louisiana, June, 1969.
